STARRYE is a fashion brand exploring idealism. Its glowing Hangzhou store uses light, screens, and "starlight" symbols to create a sensory realm, blending avant-garde futurism with retro romanticism and community nature

Designed as a radiant beacon within a quiet Hangzhou community, STARRYE is a fashion store that utilizes light as its primary architectural material. When surrounding shops close at night, the translucent pink polycarbonate facade transforms the building into a softly glowing entity.

This sculptural exterior, carved with geometric voids, diminishes solid boundaries and establishes a fluid, organic connection with the neighborhood. The overarching theme, "Song of Time," takes the brand’s core symbol—the twinkling starlight—and turns it into a dynamic spatial language that shapes the entire retail experience and elegantly engages with the everyday life of the community.

The interior layout is a journey of dialectical contrasts, where time acts as an underlying spatial narrative. The ground floor branches into dark, avant-garde experiential zones designed to heighten sensory perception. Here, dynamic electronic screens, reflective mirrors, and a unique harp-inspired sound installation create a multidimensional, futuristic realm where time is perceived on a highly personal scale.

A vintage staircase railing serves as the transitional medium to the second floor, a space characterized by retro, natural, and multifaceted elements. This upper level shifts from the stark futurism below into vibrant tonal zones: a retro red theater representing enthusiasm, an infinitely serene natural field, and a utopian pink space.

A profound connection to nature and romanticism anchors the final layers of the design. On the second floor, expansive windows frame the lush community greenery, which is ingeniously multiplied across the walls, tabletops, and ceilings using strategic mirror placements. This continuous reflection dissolves the boundaries between indoor and outdoor, infinitely expanding the spatial scale. Adding a layer of subtle absurdity and artistic flair, classical motifs—like Roman timepieces and medieval chairs—are playfully printed as two-dimensional graphics onto minimalist, three-dimensional geometric furniture.

This "Renaissance" approach bridges classical elegance with abstract futurism, cementing STARRYE as a space of deep aesthetic exploration and enduring brand memory.
