Located in Guangzhou, this is the debut project of our "of home" residential series, designed for a fashion-forward couple. By blurring spatial boundaries, blending warm teak with natural stone, and curating vintage and modern furniture, we created a tranquil space tailored to their lifestyle.

Nestled in the vibrant riverside district of Guangzhou, this residence serves as the primary home for a fashion-forward couple who founded the lifestyle brand Oneup. As the debut project of our "of home" original residential series, we collaborated closely with our in-house styling team, of gaaarden, to translate the couple’s artistic background into a tangible living space. Rooted in the philosophy of "comfortable longevity," we boldly experimented with the balanced interplay between warm teak and natural stone.
Our ultimate goal was to craft a living environment that effortlessly harmonizes the owners' professional aesthetic sensibilities with their deep desire for functional, everyday comfort.

To break away from the limitations of a traditional residential layout, we liberated the shared spaces by dismantling rigid spatial boundaries. We transformed a previously enclosed room next to the living area by introducing a flexible folding door system. This "soft boundary" approach successfully merges the folding space, living room, and dining area into a fluid, natural-toned canvas where daily life gracefully unfolds.
Depending on the couple's needs, this flexible hub can easily transition into a family activity zone, a guest room, or a temporary workspace. The display shelves, gradually filled with ceramic trinkets collected from around the world, add a deeply personal touch, allowing the home's narrative to evolve alongside its inhabitants.

Our curated styling philosophy further elevates the home's unique rhythm. We thoughtfully juxtaposed the owners' love for vintage Danish wood furniture with understated luxury elements, such as a highly adaptable De Sede modular leather sofa and an Angelo Mangiarotti marble table. Extending from this lively central hub, we designed multiple tranquil retreats: an expansive "indoor garden" balcony with a mobile tea station, and a master bedroom deliberately hidden behind soft off-white walls and a teak-lined corridor.
Rejecting standard smart home technology, we seized the opportunity to custom-design tactile switch panels to maintain pure aesthetic coherence. Through these subtle rituals and carefully mixed textures, we successfully delivered a home defined by tranquility, minimalism, and a profound connection to nature.
